A little background about you.
Born in Chicago and currently living in the Bronx, NY working as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor; however I also have modeled adaptive clothing and authored a chapter in a Kindle Best Seller anthropology entitled “The Higher Level Method.”
Krystal, tell us a little bit about life with Spina Bifida.
I was born with Spina Bifida. Over the years, I have acquired chronic kidney disease, severe anemia, and high blood pressure which all stems from my Spina Bifida.
What are some challenges you’ve overcome while living with Spina Bifida?
As I age, activities that use to take minutes to do now take longer. Health is always a concern because every new age I reach a new health concern arises.

What is important to you when choosing a supplier for your products?
Shipment. I need my supplies when I need them and delaying them can be detrimental to my health. Another aspect was that Comfort Medical customer services was very willing to discuss different products and try out products for my specific needs.

What is something you’ve recently learned to do?
I recently learned how to make spaghetti sauce from scratch.

I am scared of butterflies.

You are the one you’ve been waiting for.
What’s something you would like to accomplish?
I would like to travel outside of the United States more. I have only been to Jamaica so far.
